Comments from People who attended:
**Well, I can honestly say that I was ready to fight a Revolution after that session! It was inspiring.
**I thought the presenters did an outstanding job of explaining the issues logically but passionately
**I am very impressed with the work you are doing and look forward to working with you in the future
**Absolutely wonderful! The timelines were … so many different things. Informative, concise, shocking, heart-breaking, unforgettable. And, George made me think hard and accept things that should have been discussed a long time ago. It was my favorite part of the convergence.

Since the Timelines had such a powerful impact, here they are.

Convergence Agenda
Laying the Foundation
This session will lay the groundwork for our weekend together. We’ll address the state of Move to Amend and our strategy and goals to amend the Constitution and make real the promise of American democracy.
Building a Multi-Racial Democracy Movement for Social Justice & Constitutional Renewal
This session will address why the emphasis of our movement(s) must be on confronting racism and other oppressions in order to win real democracy. The means are the ends in our struggles for social justice, and this session will provide a framework for why an anti-racism orientation is critical for our movement and how to instill that ethic and commitment within ourselves and our organizations. We will cover theory and practice.
The State of the Global & US Democracy Movement
Panel presentation and group discussion on the state of the broader democracy and social justice movement(s) on a national and global scale and discuss the political climate for systemic social change in the United States and how this affects our Move to Amend work.
Engaging Your Community on Corporate Constitutional Rights & the MTA Campaign - Organizing Training
Participatory workshop and training session that will show you how to build an organizing campaign to engage and educate individuals and organizations in your community about Move to Amend. You’ll learn techniques for reaching out to diverse constituents in your community. We will cover best practices for forming a group, strategies to conduct public outreach and growing your group's capacity.
Building Capacity for the Work to Come: Strategy Discussion for MTA Organizers
We’ll brainstorm and discuss tools and infrastructure needs to better aid MTA organizers in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern region of the US.
